March 2017 Update:
Spring is almost here and after a very busy winter, I find myself hard at work replenishing my launch pad stock. I've made a few improvements to the new models, the main one being going to single bolt blast deflector mounts with welded nuts under the mount, so no more fooling around with a second wrench when installing blast deflectors. That task is much more simple now. One other change that I'm making is going back to plain steel blast deflectors on base model launch pads. I will still offer stainless blast deflectors, at an additional cost, for those of you who want them but after a couple of years of working with stainless steel, the verdict is in: I am charged for stainless steel as though it were a precious metal, like gold or silver, and stainless is a pain in the butt to work with, dulling drill bits and shear blades much faster than plain carbon steel. Even the more expensive M42 cobalt bits don't hold an edge long drilling this crap. I'm spending way too much time sharpening cutting tools. There's a reason that stainless steel Weber Grill you want costs $900.00...
I have a few other things up my sleeve for the coming months as well, so stay tuned.

Summer of 2015 I made one of my most interesting launch pad sales to date. I sent an FLP-36 to Tomsk, Russia! Anton Shagaev was a pleasure to do business with and was nice enough to send me this video of his HV Arcus' first flight. You can check it out here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pugpVjTPQpw
Nice flight, Anton, and thanks for the cool video!
Centuri LIA-77 & LIA-100 launch pad parts kits are available!
Centuri LIA-77 clone pad that I recently built for a customer.
For those of you who have fond memories of the old Centuri LIA-77 and LIA-100 launch pads, we are now offering D.I.Y. hardware kits for replicating these two old classics. Provided in the kits will be the metal parts only along with templates for cutting out the wood parts yourself. We will be offering four parts kits; two for the smaller (24" footprint) LIA-77 and two for the larger (32" footprint) LIA-100. The LIA-77 kits have a rod holder that will hold 1/8" & 3/16" launch rods, a 4.5 X 5.5 inch flat blast deflector and the machine screws with wing nuts for the legs. The LIA-77 kit will come in two versions; standard and deluxe. The standard kit will come with a stationary, vertical position aluminum rod holder and the deluxe kit will come with a pivoting rod holder.
The larger LIA-100 kits will be the same; standard and deluxe versions with the difference being rod holders that will hold up to 1/4" launch rods and a larger blast deflector. We have a few of the LIA-77 kits currently available in standard and deluxe versions with the LIA-100 kits to be available soon. Check them out here. D.I.Y. launch pad kits are something I've been wanting to offer for a while now, and I have several cool prototypes built. If these take off I'll add more designs periodically.
